The Barbie doll has been a pop culture icon for kids and adults alike. Some of her fans, however, have gone extreme and are willing to undergo surgeries just to achieve her impossible curve and small face.

Just take Tatiana “Tanya” Tuzova, for example. The 32-year-old owns a very pricey collection. She has 1,520 Barbie dolls that are worth around £120,000 (approx US$156k) in total. Although she is very committed to what she’s doing, the Russian admitted that being Barbie is, in fact, a very lonely life.

Tanya said:

“I don’t have friends. I have no time to be friends. I like being alone; no one interferes with my thoughts; I like my world. I have a husband; he is my best friend.”

She shared that she met her fifth husband, who she opted not to name, “at his work and then I conquered him with my karaoke voice. Now he makes me Barbie-style presents; recently it was a pink Mini Cabrio.” The only thing she revealed is that he has a medical profession.

Her photos clearly show that Tanya’s ‘s entire life revolves around her chosen lifestyle, which may be a little too bizarre for some people.

But even though she has become more susceptible to online bashing, Tanya still knows how to respond and deal with her haters.

The real-life Russian Barbie defends her lifestyle by saying that she doesn’t drink, smoke, or swear. She shares that people are not interested in knowing her good side, but only wants to see the things that she does that they find bizarre and controversial like her surgeries, marriage, and age.

Tanya became a “full-time Barbie” after she wanted to become a nursery school teacher, but could not live on the monthly salary of $92 plus $28 for also working as a cleaner.

She explained that Barbie is not a job, but a lifestyle.
