In a Reddit post, a user that goes by the name Sh0tgunLlama started a forum where he asked: “What is the dumbest solution to a problem that actually worked?” The post received several responses relaying some experiences, but one clearly stood out among those stories.

User Stellapotamus shared one hilarious experience, but as you come to think of it, his reaction was plainly genius. He shared about how he was canceling an appointment with a doctor without a week’s notice. The assistant attending to his concern then charged him a cancellation fee of $200. Stellapotamus, however, was quick to come up with a solution he actually didn’t think will work.

As it turns out, he asked if he will be charged for a reschedule. As soon as he was informed that it will be free of charge, he then asked for an appointment rescheduling which he requested to be set three weeks from the time he called. The assistant then confirmed his new appointment schedule, but Stellapotamus cancelled it right away so he will not be charged of anything for late cancellation. Surprisingly, it actually worked!

The dumbest solution was given by the user Stellapotamus but it turned out to be a genius trick.
