Comedian Ashley Hesseltine came up with a hilarious idea when she asked all her guy friends to post pictures like girls do on Instagram. She then posted photos of these guys poking fun at all of the activities “basic” girls enjoy.
What started as a blog post back in 2014, eventually grew into an Instagram page that has over 870k followers. The page is cleverly called “Bros Being Basic,” but there’s definitely nothing basic with these photos. Here are 30 hilarious pictures of guys acting like girls on Instagram.
“I had an idea for a post on my blog, ‘What If Guys Acted Like Girls on Instagram?.’ I recruited all my guy friends to create the photos for me, and when the blog started going viral, the idea for the Instagram account was born. I (with the help of my friend Travis May) launched the account on Thanksgiving Eve and it blew up immediately.”
“The reaction has been nothing but positive. It almost feels more like paying homage to women instead of mocking them. I’m a female and a feminist, so I’m naturally able to create content that’s not going to be offensive to women, and on top of that, our awesome female followers are able to laugh at themselves and their own “basic” tendencies.”
“Parodies done in the right way are always funny, and the content is just so relatable to both sexes. And at the end of the day, a lot of the content isn’t even guys mocking girls — it’s them being themselves. Guys can be JUST as basic and thirsty as girls on Insta!”
Social media has opened up a whole new world, and one avenue we appreciate is our Instagram comedians. Anytime you need a quick laugh throughout the day; you can check your timeline to see silly skits, dances, and guys acting like girls.
There’s nothing funnier than seeing someone else doing your silly poses. But these men are reminding us that we shouldn’t take ourselves too seriously.

#13 is just too disappointing!
We must admit that we’re sometimes guilty of going to places just basing our interest on the photos that we’ve seen online. We felt that the images we’re already enough to convince us and that there’s no need in doing more in-depth research anymore.
Unfortunately, not everything we see online is the real deal. With the magic of Photoshop and taking photos in perfect angles, these posts would easily trick us into booking them as soon as possible. However, most of these places are actually less impressive once we finally arrived at our destination. Here are 16 vacation spots that looked nicer online than in real life.
