Waka Flocka Flame has recently criticized people who film themselves while helping the needy. According to the rapper, doing so actually humiliates the poor.

In a video posted on Instagram by Rap, Waka pointed out that it’s not a good idea to hit the record button when doing charitable deeds. Because having the experience should be enough.

Waka said:

“You know what? When I do good deeds, I don’t never record or take pictures because why would I catch a person at they lowest point in life?”

He likewise added:

“I don’t need a visual of what I did right. I got to experience it and that sh*t is the feeling and that’s something you can’t take from me. You know what I’m saying? [Or] take from them. That’s a real human trait. So, to see anybody marketing they self feeding the homeless or feeding somebody that needs help, to me, you corny as f*ck, man.”

While Waka’s message was pretty vague and did not mention any names, he received a lot of support from netizens, agreeing with his view.

One commenter wrote:

“YouTubers ain’t gonna like this.”

Another said:

“You don’t need to make yourself seem like a good person on the internet when you already are.”

The video eventually gained mixed reactions after it went viral online. For example, one YouTube user defended:

“There’s nothing wrong with filming yourself doing good deeds, it’s to show the rest of the world that people actually care, it’s not about the person who’s doing a good deed, its to encourage other people to step up to the plate and make a difference.”
