Starbucks Is Shockingly Not America’s Favorite Coffee Shop





Most coffee lovers are very particular with their drink that they usually go back to their favorite shop. Since coffee is the most important of most people’s morning routine, their cup of joe should be pretty much perfect.

Unless you live under a rock, then you are fully aware of what Starbucks is. We always see our favorite celebrities holding and sipping on their favorite drinks from the highly popular American coffee company and coffeehouse chain in paparazzi shots, so it must be America’s favorite coffee shop, right? Wrong.

A lot of people believed that the main reason why Starbucks is on everyone’s lips is because it’s celebrities’ go-to coffee shop. While Starbucks could definitely win in the popularity contest, many labeled the caffeine empire as mediocre.

Dunkin’ Donuts, on the other hand, may not be as fancy as the other brands, but it is slowly becoming a worthy competitor. In fact, and Dunkin’ Donuts declared its intention to go head-to-head with Starbucks in 2006. But despite this exciting East Coast versus West Coast coffee rivalry, both coffee shops failed to take the top spot in this year’s poll.

According to a new poll from Harris Insights & Analytics, Krispy Kreme is the winner of the 2018 Coffee Shop Brand of the Year award. The American doughnut company and coffeehouse chain pushed Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts out of the way as America’s favorite coffee shop.

You may think of Krispy Kreme as the iconic doughnut shop that you go to when you want to get that much-deserved sugar-packed treat. But apparently, you should also think of it as the best place to get a cup of coffee.

The yearly study contained over 3,000 brands across 300 categories. More than 77,000 buyers are were approached to pick their preferred brands for purchase consideration, quality, and familiarity.
