Humanity have to thank modern technology for all the wonders that primitive people were not able to enjoy. Take conceiving for example. Back in the day, people with reproductive problems simply accept the fact that they cannot have a baby. Period. Now, science has paved the way for finding endless solutions.
Take Miranda and Josh for example. For their first baby, they turned to in vitro fertilization (IVF). The couple then set out a plan to have three or four babies in the future.
When their first born turned two, Miranda and Josh, who are both nurses by profession, decided to have another baby. So Miranda underwent an IVF again. This time, the doctors injected two embryos into her uterus.
After six weeks they found that they are going to have twins!
The good news did not stop right there because four days after, they discovered that they were having quadruplets!
“I was shocked, the doctor was shocked,” Miranda said. “Never had that happened in his entire career.”
Another extremely great news was that the couple will be having a set of twin boys and a set of twin girls! Talk about perfection!
“Embryo splitting occurs approximately in one out of 100 embryo transfers. The chance of this outcome is approximately one in 10,000. This could also occur in a natural conception, but the chance of that is much rarer,” Dr. James Grifo said.
At first, Miranda feared that she might experience complications and premature delivery but everything turned out well. She gave birth during 34th week of pregnancy and each of her child had birth weights ranging from 4.5 to 5.5 pounds
The twin boys were named Jackson and James and the twin girls, Mia and Madison.
Now, their abode houses endless crying, cooing and more crying. Nonetheless, every sacrifice is worth it as it is not everyday that couples are given such a wonderful blessing!
