A young Norweigan man decided to travel the world and share about his awesome experiences.

Christian Lindgren dropped out of school at the age of 18 to travel the world. He said that traveling is in his blood since he was young. His parents and grand parents traveled a lot when Chris was just a child. He was able to travel and visit 97 countries in the span of 9 years. In order to fund his expenses, he took jobs from farming to teaching. He traveled on a low budget and never used a guide book.

He has visited 97 countries in 9 years and was able to take good photos on each country.

He was able to visit several breathtaking places and those that are quite impossible to visit like North Korea, Iran and Pakistan.

One of Chris’ notable and unusual travel experience was when he wanted to go to Aralkum desert. This place was part of the Aral Sea that used to be one of the biggest lakes in the world which is between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. In 1960, the water in Aral Sea started to diminish due to the irrigation project of the former Soviet Union.

This traveler also had an encounter with a corrupt guard. This happened while Chris was crossing the borders of Ghana. He was asked by a border guard to ride a car as a requirement and to pay an expensive amount to cross the border. He was not allowed to walk like what the locals do in crossing the perimeter. What Chris did was he bought a donkey from a man sitting on the road. Though the donkey was pricey, it is much cheaper compared to the price the guard was asking him to pay.

The Ghanaian immigration previously informed him that he needs to register his vehicle to be allowed to cross the border. So he wrote donkey as means of transportation on the immigration form; this made the guards cackle and just wave him through. He crossed the margin by riding a donkey and left them a humorous lesson that they cannot take advantage of all foreigners because there are plenty of tourists that are smart.

Christian shares in his blog all of his adventures, destinations and tips. His website is rich of accurate guidelines and information about different countries.

Christian said,

“Everyone should travel, people will learn a lot more about themselves, the world and other cultures than they will ever learn from watching TV and reading.”

Indeed, these are just few from all of the countries he has visited. They say traveling broadens the mind and keeps our heart beat fast, this perhaps is the reason many people are always finding time to seek for adventure and visit places. It provides short and long term benefits because it can make you a much more contented, happy and relaxed person in the long run plus a bonus of having wonderful memories.
