8 Late-Night Snacks That Won’t Make You Fat
We’ve all been in that situation when we feel hunger late at night. Sometimes we ignore it, but most of the time we give in to that feeling. Unfortunately, eating late at night is not a healthy option.
Eating late-light snack is not ideal, but it’s sometimes hard to have a good night sleep when your stomach is grumbling. So instead of tossing and turning because of hunger, you can munch on these eight late-night snacks that won’t make you fat.
1. Chicken

White meat digest slowly has a very low insulin release and contains glucagon, which helps the body break down stored carbs and fat for energy later. So grabbing a piece of chicken or turkey meat is completely fine.
2. Popcorn

Popcorn is very low calorie, especially when you get a low-fat kind without any butter. It will also satisfy your cravings for a crunch that you normally get from chips.
3. Banana

Despite having only about 100 calories, each banana is loaded with satiating fiber and relaxing tryptophan, which can help regulate your sleeping process.
4. Greek Yogurt

A small bowl of yogurt will be enough to get you through the night. Greek yogurt is exceptionally good, as it’s filled with protein, probiotics, and calcium. Try to use plain yogurt, as most flavored varieties of yogurt are loaded with much more sugar.
5. Milk

A glass of low-fat milk hits your body with loads of essential nutrients, with calcium being the star of the show. Milk thickens up the stomach, making it an excellent choice to fill you up without consuming a ridiculous amount of food.
6. Mixed Nuts

Mixed nuts is considered as a high protein snack and it makes you feel fuller for a longer period of time.
Plus, they’re crunchy and salty, and there’s no prep needed! Just be mindful to not to go crazy since nuts are high in calories.
7. Oatmeal

A lot of people have lauded oatmeal for its health benefits. The best part? It can easily fill you up without loading up or sugar and carbs.
8. Apple and Peanut Butter

Along with providing you a satisfying sweetness and crunch, apples are full of fiber. Peanut butter is loaded with protein, and the combination of the two makes for a super satisfying snack that is sure to fulfill hunger cravings, all without leaving a heavy feeling in your stomach or causing any guilt.
