Criss Angel Rescues Escape Artist after Dangerous Escape Act Goes Wrong

Criss Angel, an American magician and illusionist best known for starring in his own TV show “Criss Angel Mindfreak”, desperately tried to rescue an escape artist after his dangerous escape trick went terribly wrong.

During the rehearsal of Angel’s show “Supernaturalists” at Foxwoods Casino, America’s Got Talent escape artist Spencer Horsman was trapped in a box filled with water, which was hanging 30 feet up in the air.

Horsman was seen unconscious with his hands restrained prompting Angel and some crew members to run to the stage. The terrifying moment was captured on video showing Angel climbing up the metal chains in an effort to free the motionless Horsman. Several crew members were heard screaming “get him down” in the background.

Luckily, Horsman survived the ordeal and is reportedly recovering from the near-death situation. In 2012, Horsman performed the same act in the seventh season of America’s Got Talent.

Since the incident, Angel has moved the opening of the show to a later date. It is not known whether Horsman will appear in the show.

Angel, whose walking on water trick video on YouTube gained over 50 million views, is the most viewed illusionist in international history.
