The Prada paper clip is just the latest addition to a long line of elite-designed, non-essential items that have an unbelievably expensive price tag. Balenciaga sold a blue tote bag this year for $2,145. Compare that to Ikea’s 99-cent bag, which bears no big difference from the luxury brand’s tote bag.
