If you haven’t heard it by now, you will soon enough! This viral video is on the verge of being known by anyone who so much as checks their social media account.

This nonsensical 1-minute song has become one of the most viral videos in recent times with more than 4.5 million views on YouTube!

Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen, also known as PPAP, features a Japanese in man in a bright yellow clothes with animal prints singing to a catchy beat. He’s singing (or maybe rapping?) and dancing about apples, pens, and pineapples.

You simply have to watch the video to really appreciate it.

The name of the artist is Piko-taro. He’s a character created by Japanese comedian and DJ Kosaka Daimaou, whose recent success may soon dub him as the next Psy of Gangnam Style fame.

Naturally, the infectious video has spawned numerous remixes and tributes, with people dancing and singing along to Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen’s infectious beat!
