Essay-writing can be a vastly stressful experience. Not only will you be scrambling for information about the topic you were assigned to, but you also have to desperately try and hit the word count.

But one student achieved the unimaginable. She managed to get a perfect score when bravely sending in a 19-word film review to her professor.

Allison Garrett revealed on Twitter that she took her chances when an opportunity arose after her class was assigned to write a review on a movie.

Allison chose the “Fight Club” for her essay. The 1999 film based on the 1996 novel by Chuck Palahniuk stars Brad Pitt and Edward Norton.

In just 19 words, Allison Garrett captured everything she needed to about the film, scoring her a perfect 100 from her teacher.

Sharing her achievement on Twitter, Allison wrote:

“The assignment description for essay 5 was to write a review of a movie that we had seen. The opportunity arose, and I took my chances.”

Allison simply quoted the movie’s most iconic line as the entirety of her essay:

“The first rule of Fight Club is: You do not talk about Fight Club.”

She then brilliantly ended her essay with, “That’s it. That’s the essay.”

And just like that, Allison got a 100% mark.

In her post, Allison also included her teacher’s feedback:

“I struggled over this grade for a long time. I finally decided you get a grade for a laugh and how relevant your review is for this particular movie.

Although she was given a high grade, the teacher made sure to give her a warning that not all teachers may accept this kind of essay saying, “they may not have my sense of humor.”

As expected, the essay went viral and many users were impressed by Allison’s clever approach.

Allison later added: “I got a 100 on the paper and passed the class with an A.”
