Funny Video Shows Pizza-Lovin’ Rat Carrying A Big Slice

Matt Little shared a short video of a pizza-loving rat in New York – and it immediately went viral.

Mark Andrew

Pizza’s always been my comfort food. I love stuffing my mouth with it. One time, me and my wife shared a little piece with our then 2-year-old son. Suffice it to say that our little boy got hooked right away. He fell in love with it and now automatically replies “pizza” when anyone asks him about his favorite food.

Although sure, we do our best to feed him healthy foods but once in a while, I gladly take home a box so we three can indulge in the awesomeness that is the pizza.

Well it looks like we humans are not alone with our flatbread fascination. As the video below shows us, even rodents dig them too!

This rat was spotted in a Manhattan subway carrying a huge slice of pizza.

Uploaded on YouTube by actor and comedian Matt Little, this pizza-loving rat successfully managed to go a few steps down the stairs while biting and cuddling the prized piece.

In an interview, 39-year-old Matt Little gave an insight that this rat is pretty much symbolic of the life in New York.

He said:

“You have too far to go and too much carry. But life gives you as much as you can handle.”

In his video description, Matt wrote that this is probably “Master Splinter bringing food home to feed the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”

I have a different theory though.

I am guessing its Remy the Rat from Rattatouille and he wants to taste the finest pizzas the city has to offer. That rodent has meticulous taste buds, you know!

Wild Elephants Wounded By Poison Arrows Seek Out Humans For Help

The elephants traveled across the African landscape to seek help from one safe haven they know: the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

It seems like the African wildlife can never really escape from the dangers of poaching.

Despite the valiant efforts of wildlife conservation groups against poaching, animals such as Cecil the Lion and these poor elephants pay the price.

Last month, three wild elephants were attacked by illegal hunters and got poisoned in the process. Although wounded, they were able to escape alive. The elephants traveled across the African landscape to seek help from one safe haven they know: the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Although the elephants were not housed by the center, one of them had been mated with two orphan elephants raised there.
