Riding a bike is a good form of exercise and, of course, an economical way of moving around. No wonder many people take advantage of this type of transportation on their daily travels to school, work, and others.

As with all vehicles, however, one of the downsides of using a bike is that you get to experience the occasional flat tire.

Repairing one can be a hassle! You’ll have to use a wrench (unless you own quick release tires), remove the rubber, and so on and so forth. It can really be inconvenient if you don’t have the time or skills for it.

Well, that might change soon if this group on Kickstarter can get their project successfully funded.

Nexo, a Utah-based company, has created airless bike tires that removes the problem of getting flat tires.

Nexo, a Utah-based company, claims they’ve found the perfect solution to the problem. Their airless bike tires are made from polymeter blends which provides bikers not only with durability but with great cushion balance and resilience.

The tires come in two different types with the first one that can be mounted on existing wheels and another which entirely replaces entire wheel sets. The former has a lifespan of about 3,100 miles while the latter can last up to 5,000 miles.

Since it is made from a single material, it is eco-friendly and is easily recyclable.

On top of that, the tires are unbelievably durable!

It’s also very eco-friendly since it’s only made from a single material. This means it can really be easy to recycle the tires. This is, of course, a wonderful idea considering that about 10,000,000 tons of bike tires and tubes are discarded each year.

Nexo also claims that these tires “can potentially save billions of tires from polluting our landfills.”

As Nexo’s Kickstarter page tells us:

“Nexo tires are the next leap in flat free tire innovation. These are for riders who are looking for something light with improved performance. These tires are perfect for road cyclists, commuters, and anyone that hates getting flats. Nexo tires are manufactured in an eco-friendly process and can potentially save billions of tires from polluting our landfills.”

There's a lot of buzz surrounding a piece of metal that was discovered in Romania in 1973. In fact, there are those who see it as a proof that aliens once walked the Earth.

However, since the discovery was made while the country was still under communist rule, details were not made immediately available back then.

Apparently, a group of builders who were working on the banks of the Mures River in the town of Aiud found the piece of metal buried about 33 feet under the sand. At first, they thought it was the end of an axe. Later on, though, it was tagged as something else entirely.
