Whether you see cosplay as a hobby or a lifestyle, one thing is for sure — it is expensive and time-consuming. The issue is that if you want to dress up as your favorite character, you usually have to shed out a lot of cash. And if you don’t, fans could easily tell.

For those who aren’t ready to go pro and just want to keep cosplay as a creative hobby, there are lots of tips out there on how to save money. In the meantime, you can enjoy and get inspiration from Thai cosplay enthusiast Anucha “Cha” Saengchart, who created the “Lowcost Cosplay” project, which is budget-friendly, creative, and downright hilarious.
