You have to admit that no matter how much of a clean freak you are, the bathroom remains to be the only room in the house that’s tough to clean.

But that shouldn’t stop you from finding ways on how to face the challenging task of keeping your bathroom spotlessly clean.

Fortunately, Clean My Space’s Melissa Maker is willing to help you out with one of her many tips on how to keep your bathroom clean. Part of the lesson is to teach you how to properly disinfect the dirtiest items you can find in your bathroom namely your toilet plunger, toilet bowl brush, toothbrush, razor and the loofah.

You know that among those items, the toilet bowl brush is one that you would want to avoid most. Most of us dread this item because we tend to think about how nasty it can be—imagine it had to be used to scrub the inside of the bowl. But Melissa gives the most helpful tip on how to disinfect the toilet bowl brush.

According to her, you simply need to place the handle of the brush between the toilet seat and the bowl after cleaning the toilet. Then with your favorite disinfectant, spray on the brush and let it sit there and drip for about 10 minutes. Then get some hot water and wash the brush and let it sit again for 10 minutes.

It’s good to note that you should never place your used toilet bowl brush back into its container while still wet. That’s when things get really nasty.
