This Giant Roller Coaster is Set to Shatter 10 World Records!
I will never understand why people ride roller coasters. I mean, why would you risk life and limb for a few minutes of high? Well, for adrenaline junkies, no roller coaster is too scary not to get into…maybe except for this one. Because this promises to be the mother of all scary roller coasters.
Called the “Valravn Birdseye,” this vomit-inducing ride is the newest attraction in Cedar Point, Ohio. It will reportedly break 10 world records when it finally opens to the public in 2016. For starters, it will have the tallest dive ever at 223 feet. If this is not enough to scare you, check out the other records that this monster is supposed to break.
The full list of records the coaster is set to break are:
- Fastest dive coaster (75 mph)
- Longest dive coaster (3,415 feet)
- Most inversions on a dive coaster (3)
- Longest drop on a dive coaster (214 feet)
- Highest inversion on a dive coaster (165 feet)
- Most roller coasters taller than 200 feet at one amusement park (5)
- Most rides at one amusement park (72)
- Most steel roller coaster track at one amusement park (52,125 feet/9.9 miles)

So if you absolutely love puking your guts out all over your shirt, plan your trip to Ohio and get on the Valravn Birdseye’s maiden voyage.
