While a trip to the doctor is never optional for emergencies and serious health issues, there are a lot of minor problems that could be easily resolved with the help of proven remedies.
The advantage here, of course, goes two ways for you. First and foremost, you get to save some money. We all know how prescription medicine and consultation can be expensive nowadays. On top of that, you won’t have to take a time off anymore which could be a hassle if you’re a busy person.
#1. Mouthwash for toenail fungus.
Have some fungus issues on your foot? Well, go to the bathroom and grab that mouthwash bottle. Soak your feet for several minutes and the antiseptic properties will greatly help in getting read of the bacteria.
#2.Black tea for severe sunburns.
Forgot to use some sunblock before having fun under the sun? Soak a tea bag in warm water and compress it against your affected body parts.
#3. Apple cider vinegar for sore throats.
Typically caused by cold or other virus, sore throat can be cured by apple cider vinegar. Use it for gargling and you’ll be able to get rid of bacteria in your throat, decrease swelling, and prevent problems further.
#4. Mint leaf for fatigue.

For healing and disinfecting cuts, raw honey is highly recommended. It has antibacterial properties that can be beneficial when applied under bandages for sterilizing cuts.

After removing the stinger, cover the affected area with a thick paste of baking soda and water. This will help neutralize the venom.
#9. Milk of Magnesia for canker sores.
Rinse your mouth with Milk of Magnesia and you will be able to feel much better if you’re suffering from canker sores.
#10. Cranberry juice for U.T.I.
Most common among women, urinary tract infection can be treated by drinking a lot of cranberry juice.
#11. Duct tape for warts.
Cover your wart with a piece of duct tape for 6 days. Afterwards, remove the tape and soak the affected area in water. Rub it using a pumice stone and you’ll be able to remove it easily.
#12. Chicken soup for colds.
This one, of course, is a classic. Chicken soup is loaded with micronutrients that can be valuable towards restoring your good health. Seems like our moms were right after all!
