  • Caroline Gave of Wales made headlines after putting her Christmas decorations up early this year.
  • According to the 46-year-old mother, she did it for her kids and also to “brighten up” the community a little during this bleak year.

With 2020 proving to be a memorable year for all the wrong reasons, one mother from Wales decided to spread a little cheer in her neighborhood – by putting up her Christmas decorations three months early.

46-year-old mom Caroline Gabe of Caewern, Port Talbot surprised everyone in the community when she started installing her holiday displays composed of 3,000 outdoor lights plus some 8-ft inflatables such as a Snowman, Santa Claus, a reindeer and a Christmas tree.

Christmas in September? Why not!

In a LadBible feature, we learn that Caroline has been purchasing her decors all this time and even ordered some items from the United States.

According to her, she has been in lockdown for almost the entire year with her children namely 5-year-old Theo, 12-year-old Harry, and 23-year-old Jack. This year, she just went ahead and installed her decors not only to cheer up Theo, who suffers from severe asthma after triumphing over pneumonia last year.

So far, the reactions have been mixed with some showing a bit of negativity about her early celebrations. Others, however, did not hesitate to express their appreciation.

Caroline shared:

“I’ve had so many people talk to me about them. It has blown me away. It’s just been something nice in a horrible and surreal year.

“I just thought it would brighten the community up. I’ve got two younger children and it has really put a smiles our faces. Every year I am always early with the Christmas decorations. But this is even early for me.”

Caroline’s house is officially the brightest – and most festive – in the neighborhood right now.

“Christmas is a fantastic time of year – even in September,” she added.
