8 Possible Reasons Why You Keep Waking Up In The Middle Of The Night
Imagine you need to wake up at 7 am, but you have already been up several times in the middle of the night, and even at odd times like 4 am, for some reason. Obviously, you will feel tired and restless the next day, which is a such a bummer.
Are you one of these people and had been wondering what’s going on? Here are eight possible reasons why you’ve been experiencing it.
1. Feeling Too Hot Or Cold

Feeling your muscles stiffening up when the temperature is too cold or feeling your sweat forming around your neck and dripping on your back can be very uncomfortable, so these feelings would definitely wake you up.
2. Nocturia Or Nighttime Urination

Most people can get that precious 6 to 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep, but if you suffer from nocturia, then it can cause you to wake up multiple times through the course of a single night.
3. Aging

Older people don’t wake up way too early in the morning just because they feel like it; their age actually has something to do with it. Why? It’s because of their aches and pains and the need to use the bathroom more often.
4. Alcohol

Some drink alcohol to help them get some good night’s sleep, but that’s not always the case. Consuming alcohol close to bedtime is not a very smart idea.
5. Sleep Apnea

Sleep apnea is a sleeping disorder where it repeatedly stops and starts and individual’s breathing.
6. Anxiety Or Depression

Whether it’s a demanding boss or a fight with your loved one, anxiety and depresson can make it difficult to relax, robbing us of a good night’s sleep.
7. Restless Legs Syndrome

This neurological problem that causes an unpleasant sensation in your legs can also keep you up at nights, with the problem worsening while lying down.
8. Social Media

If your bedtime routine involves scrolling through Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, your updates may be messing with your sleep.
