Mom Unknowingly Serves Her Children With Inappropriately-Shaped Pasta
A young mother from Dunstable in the United Kingdom recently went viral after she mistakenly fed her children with some odd-shaped pasta. As you can tell from the photo above, the food looks inappropriate.
24-year-old mom Rebecca Brett went shopping at the market when her 3-year-old daughter Ava asked her to buy a bag of “smiley-face” pasta and so she did. It was already too late when she eventually realized the blunder.
That’s no smiley-faced pasta!
In a New Idea feature, we learn that Rebecca only noticed her mistake when her two daughters, Ava and 7-month-old Emilia, were “tucking into the dish at home”.
Rebecca said:
“I was mortified when I saw what I had done. It was a hectic morning and I just bought it without thinking.
“When I saw Ava with the tiny penis in her hand, my heart sank, but I quickly burst into hysterical laughter at my blunder!”
Rebecca shared photos of the pasta on Facebook and it immediately went viral from there.
Thousands of netizens liked and shared the funny oversight.
“Mom of the Year award most definitely does not go to me,” wrote Rebecca in her post.
She further shared:
“I wandered into the market and Ava begged me for some ‘smiley face’ pasta she saw. So I bought it, cooked it for the girls for lunch today..
“Thought it looked a bit odd, re-looked at the bag and it’s only bloody penis pasta. How could I not even realize even while cooking it?!
“So my 3 year old and 7 month old are currently sat eating a bowl of dicks for their lunch. Life.”
Rebecca and Simon Ridgeway, her fiance, find the mistake hilarious.
Rebecca remarked:
“I couldn’t wait to tell Simon and show him the photos when he got home.
“I posted it on Facebook because it really is the stupidest thing I’ve ever done and I thought my friends would appreciate it – I never expected it to go viral!”
