  • A 9-year-old Scottish boy named Bryce Gormanley recently went viral online after he was caught by his mom using Alexa for his mathematics homework.
  • The mom caught the act on tape and netizens couldn’t help but laugh at the boy’s ingenuity.

Remember how we did our homework back in the days? We definitely had it tough. With no internet and smartphones, we mainly relied on books and some more books from the local library.

Things have changed a lot since as technology improved and now kids have it much, much easier. By doing a quick Google search, for example, they can easily find any needed information in seconds!

Take it from this young schoolboy who took advantage of modern tech so he can finish his math assignment quicker – and he went viral on social media because of it.

9-year-old Bryce Gormanley of Dalmellington, Ayrshire in Scotland was caught in the living room by his mom using Alexa to cheat on multiplication as he asked the device several questions.

“4 x 3 is 12,” the automated voice told the boy, in one instance, and Leanne couldn’t help but shake her head in the background while watching her son do his thing.

Bryce went on, “Alexa, 8 multiplied by 4?” and the voice gives him the correct answer once more.

Of course, mom had to step in and stop the boy by calling his attention. “What is going on here?” she asked and the surprised kid turned around, noticing the camera in his mom’s hand. He defended his act by saying he is doing his homework but Leanne was quick to say that’s not the way to do it right.

The grinning kid went on asking Alexa more math questions and mom just had to reminded him, “You do realize you’ll be doing all this again yourself?”
