  • 67-year-old Lorenza Marrujo lives in a senior apartment complex in Fontana, California.
  • An intruder broke into her place but left when she told him to back off.
  • The same intruder instead entered into a neighbor’s apartment but Lorenza – who is a black belt holder – came to save the day.

Looking at Lorenza Marrujo, crooks would probably think she’s an easy target – and they’d be so wrong! Besides, the 67-year-old woman, who is less than 5 feet in height, is a long-time martial arts practitioner.

One intruder learned his lesson the hard way after breaking into Loreanza’s apartment in Fontana, California. When she saw him, she bravely warned him to back off. The intruder wasted no time and left right away.

She’s 67 and she’s a black belt holder.

The said intruder, however, wasn’t done for the day yet as he entered Loranza’s neighbor Elizabeth McCray. He grabbed and shaked her until she fell down on the floor.

That’s when Lorenza finally showed her sick moves. “He’s gonna kill us,” cried Elizabeth but Lorenza responded “Not tonight.”

Despite her old age and small size, she successfully overpowered him as her training instantly kicked in when she needed it.

He definitely messed with the wrong woman!

According to an interview with CBS California, Lorenza has “more than two decades of martial arts training.”

“I didn’t expect that little lady would be that brave,” admitted Elizabeth.

Not surprisingly, Lorenza’s heroism immediately gained a lot of attention and admiration online, especially after news sources picked up on her story.

  • In the Philippines, a 'liquid gold' rush has led to poaching of the world's most expensive tree Lapnisan or agarwood.
  • The rare and highly-coveted oily resin is produced by a mature Lapnisan tree after it is infected by a mold.
  • Because there is no way to check if the Lapnisan has been infected, poachers indiscriminately cut trees.
  • These trees are traded online using codenames, despite the blanket ban placed on it by the Philippine government.
