A video has gone viral on TikTok after it showed an unusual neighborhood in the United States. Found in El Dorado County, California, Cameron Park is definitely a place like no other.

In the viral video, we can see that that it’s actually pretty common for locals in Cameron Park to have their own airplanes. Unbelievable, you say? Well you gotta see it to believe it!

Originally uploaded on TikTok by user @thesoulfamily, the video gives us a glimpse of what life is like in the residential airpark.
Instead of cars in their garage, families have planes in their hangars.
Plus the roads are wide enough to accommodate cars and planes.

The woman in the viral footage pointed out:

“Every road is ginormous. It’s almost as if you have no idea where you should even be driving.”

Not surprisingly, the video has attracted a lot of interest online. In fact, it has reached more than 4.8 million views on TikTok as of this writing.

According to the details we have gathered online, Cameron Park has a population of about 18,000. The area measures around 8.3 square miles. The community was built in 1963 and is currently home to 124 houses.

Resident Burl Skaggs moved to Cameron Park from Bay Area in 2003. Since he loves flying, he’s totally having a blast just living there.

“Instead of a two-and-a-half or three-hour drive, I had about a 35-, 40-minute airplane ride,” he said. “I don’t commute anymore, but I still have an airplane to play with.”

Meanwhile, retired aerobatic air show aviator Julie Clark has been a resident since 1983 and one of the things she loves about the place is how everyone’s just friendly with each other.

“We’re so close-knit, everybody knows everybody else’s business,” she shared in an interview: “Ask my neighbor what they know about me because they know more about me than I do.”
