One day, a dad walked past his son’s open bedroom door and felt that something was amiss. He peered inside and what he saw made him feel more suspicious. First, his son was nowhere to be found; and second, everything is in order. There isn’t the regular trash, disarray or pile of dirty laundry on the floor. Even the bed is neatly made up and on it was a piece of paper with the words; “Dad”
As this was a very uncommon gesture for his son cleaning up his room and just leaving a note, the dad became quite worried, and the worries turn to fear as he reads his son’s letter which reads:
It is with great regret and sorrow that I am writing you. I had to elope with my new girlfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with mom and you. I’ve been finding real passion with Stacy, and she is so nice, but I knew you would not approve because of her piercings, tattoos, tight motorcycle clothes, and the fact she’s much older than I am.
But it’s not only the passion Dad; she’s pregnant.
Stacy said that we will be very happy. She owns a trailer in the woods, and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. We share a dream of having many more children.
Stacy has opened my eyes to the fact that marijuana doesn’t really hurt anyone. We’ll be growing it for ourselves and trading it with other people in the commune — for all the cocaine and ecstasy we want.
In the meantime, we’ll pray that science will find a cure for AIDS so that Stacy can get better. She sure deserves it.
Don’t worry, Dad. I’m 15, and I know how to take care of myself. Someday, I’m sure we’ll be back to visit, so you can get to know your many grandchildren.”
As if eloping with the girlfriend he got pregnant wasn’t bad enough, the ill consequences just seem to pile up one on top of the other. However, the note wasn’t even finished and when the dad read the remaining paragraph, this is what he read:
Dad, none of the above is true. I’m over at Jason’s house. I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than the school report that’s on the kitchen table. Call when it’s safe for me to come home!”
It was all an elaborate trick the son pulled off to cover up his bad report card. His parent reeling from the worst of the news, would feel that some bad grades are a welcome relief compared to the horrors that they thought of. Perhaps the dad was able to accept the bad grades with more ease and would have found it funny that his son went through such lengths to cover up some bad grades. We just hope the son studies better next time, for sure this trick won’t work a second time!
Husband Writes an Open Letter to His Nurse Wife and it’s Beautiful!
He sees his wife for who she is, and it’s very touching.
Nursing requires dedication. If you’re thinking of pursuing a career in nursing, you’d have to consider the sacrifices you’d have to make first. You see, it’s not just any job; it’s a vocation. And, in order to safeguard your patients’ wellbeing, no matter how difficult and irrational some of them are, you need to have that deep passion for the profession.
Nurses are daughters, sons, sisters, brothers, fathers, and mothers who set their personal feelings aside when duty calls. No matter how sad, ill, or exhausted they are, they attend to all their patients’ needs and still do their responsibilities when they get home.

Kind Cop Bought New Shoes for Homeless Man Who Was Kicked Off a Bus for Being Barefoot
He doesn’t deserve to be arrested. What he needed was a pair of shoes.
Several police officers have been caught on tape doing injustice to the people they vowed to serve and protect. Some people have even lost their faith in the justice system because of them.
This is why hearing stories about cops who do random acts of kindness are always excellent to hear.
A homeless man was asked to get off a local service bus simply because he was barefooted. When Kenya Joyner, a 43-year old police officer from Delaware River Port Authority, was called to escort the man, he took the chance to ask why the guy didn’t have shoes. The poor man just said he couldn’t afford one. ...
