The world is full of ruthless criminals overwhelming the news today. But despite this heartbreaking reality we are facing, there are still some people who do kind deeds and make us start having faith in humanity again.
As the night breaks in, a New Jersey-based woman faced possible danger when she ran out of gas in the middle of a highway on her way home. But the most unexpected man came to her rescue even if it means sacrificing all the money he has to make it through the week.
A young woman is paying back what she owes from a homeless man who helped her when she got stranded in the middle of a highway.
Kate McClure was driving on the I-95 interstate motorway in Philadelphia when she suddenly ran out of gas. She pulled over to check her tank but then realized she had no money with her for a refill. She was then approached by a homeless man named Johnny who, without second thoughts, helped her get home.
The man warned the 27-year-old lady that the area was unsafe and advised her to remain in the car with the doors locked. He then left her for a while and returned with a can of petrol which he filled using his last $20.
Johnny Bobbitt used his last $20 to buy a can of gas to fill in Kate’s empty tank.
Touched by the thoughtful act, Kate set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for him. With the inspiring story, donations flooded in with the amount quickly exceeding the initial $10,000 target. As of late, the donations already totals to $388,555.
Johnny is from Raleigh, N.C. area and has been homeless in Philadelphia for 1 and 1/2 year.
Kate wrote on the page she set up:
“I never ran out of gas before, and my heart was beating out of my chest. I pulled over as far as I could, and got out of the car to head to the nearest gas station.
That’s when I met Johnny. Johnny sits on the side of the road every day, holding a sign. He saw me pull over and knew something was wrong. He told me to get back in the car and lock the doors. A few minutes later, he comes back with a red gas can. Using his last 20 dollars to make sure I could get home safe.”
Kate has already donated $10,000 to 34-year-old Bobbitt and approximately 2,000 people had given charity to the campaign.
Since the incident, Kate has been visiting Johnny by the roadside and gave him a jacket, hat, a pair of gloves and warm socks, as well as a few dollars to pay him back for his kindness. She describes Johnny as a great guy and she’s hoping to do something to change his life. With the fundraising page she set up for the homeless man who offered his last money to save her from danger, Kate hopes to help Johnny get cash to rent an apartment, a vehicle, and cash to cover six months of living costs. She added:
“He is very interested in finding a job, and I believe that with a place to be able to clean up every night and get a good night’s rest, his life can get back to being normal.
Please help this man get into a home. It is already getting so cold out in Philadelphia, and I can’t imagine what it will be like to be out there all winter.”

Five Siblings Lived With Pigs In Filthy Pen For Years After Parents Abandoned Them
Five kids lived miserably in a filthy pigpen after their parents abandoned them to fend themselves.
Families are supposed to be together through good times and bad times, but apparently, there are factors in life that can tear the supposedly strong bond between them. The Del Rosario siblings, as young as they are, are facing tremendous challenges to survive in this cruel world, with their parents abandoning them to fend for themselves.
Poverty is a common scene in third world countries like the Philippines. It has been a longstanding problem that plagues families in the island that eventually offshoots to other crisis. The Del Rosario children are unfortunately one of those who need to suffer more than anyone else in the country not only because a bountiful life shied away from them, but first and foremost because their parents gave up on supporting them.
Five siblings were forced to live in a pigpen after they were abandoned by their parents and have nowhere to go.
Surgeon Receives Treatment While Performing Life-Saving Surgery On Patient
A Chinese doctor sacrifices his own health so he could finish a critical surgery on a patient.
We often hear about how doctors do not have to right to get sick as many lives depend on them. But our medical team members are also only human and even if they can perform miracles in the hospital, they still are not gods to be pain-resistant.
We often neglect this reality and since our own well-being is our first priority, we sometimes become unreasonably demanding to them. We are not aware of the sleepless nights they have to endure to save hundreds of patients a day and neglect to realize that their dedication to their tasks can also take a toll on their health.
It's very rare to see a doctor getting treatment while performing a procedure on a patient.
