Model With Dwarfism is Making Huge Strides in the Fashion Industry

Dru Presta is still in her 20’s and yet she is already changing the fashion industry. Born with dwarfism, she stands 3 feet and 4 inches tall. Despite her height, she is able to reach her dreams and break all forms of stereotypes in the business.

Her condition (called achondroplasia) made her life a mess, with kids bullying her since she was young. Apparently, she is the only one her family with such condition. Hence people around her in Reno, Nevada never truly understood what she was going through. Still, this did not stop her from pursuing a modeling career – and she is actually quite successful.

Presta was quoted saying,

I want everybody in the fashion world just to be accepted. I want anybody to be able to walk that runway just like anybody else – whether you see them rolling down the runway in your wheelchair or on crutches.”

Dru suffers from a condition called achondroplasia.

Due to her condition, she was bullied at a very young age.

She is the only member in her family to have dwarfism.
