  • A burglary victim’s note for a robber recently caught some attention online.
  • In the said note, the victim begged the burglar to at least return his memory card.
  • “Keep the cash, and my DSLR, and whatever else you took,” he wrote, asking for just the card. “It has photos of my dog’s last day alive on it.”

A burglary victim from Toronto, Canada recently went viral online after writing a heartbreaking note for the robber. In his message, he pleaded with the crook to return his memory card because it contained something priceless: it had the last pictures of his beloved pet dog.

The note was spotted on a pole and someone took a photo of it and shared the image on Quora, where it eventually received a lot of attention.

In the note, the victim wrote:

“To the man who was in my house and robbed me. Keep the cash, and my DSLR, and whatever else you took.

“But if you have the memory card from the camera, please, it has photos of my dog’s last day alive on it. I cannot replace those photos. Please throw it onto the porch or put it in the mail slot. Or mail it to (me).”

“Please,” he added, “she died a few days ago. I cannot lose those photos as well.”

The note also had the man’s contact number but along with the address, it was blacked out before being posted online.

Naturally, people who saw the message felt devastated for the victim.

A commenter said:

“Dude, just give them back the memory card. Leave it in the mailbox or something.”

Another wrote:

“I really hope the victim got the photos back. I also hope the man or women who robbed the house stubs their pinky toe on a heavy-duty chair leg every day for as long as they live.”
