#1 Money can’t buy happiness.
I always thought that only money can bring you happiness, but today my opinion changed forever. My husband was told that his cancer had been completely removed! I cried all day from happiness.
#2 ‘I love you, Dad.’
Today, I chose the wrong number and accidentally sent my dad a message saying “I love you,“ which was meant for my husband. A few minutes later I got a reply: ”I love you too. Dad." It was so touching. We say things like that to each other so rarely.
#3 Man’s best friend
I woke up from someone breathing close to my ear. I opened my eyes to see the cutest labrador puppy I’ve ever seen. My parents had remembered my dream from 20 years ago, when I was still a kid. At that time they couldn’t get a dog because of the small size of our apartment and our neighbors. Now that I live alone in a large apartment, they decided to get me a special present.
I could hear my wife wrapping up a present at night. She was doing it quietly and furtively, trying not to wake me. When I woke up in the morning, there was a huge box in front of me…full of socks and pairs of underwear. I was on the verge of getting annoyed when my wife turned on the TV, and I saw that it was now hooked up to an Xbox. She’d bought it for me along with the game FIFA-17. Now I have everything a man needs: socks, underwear, and FIFA-17.
#5 Kids at heart.
My brother dropped by my room today. He could barely contain his excitement about something. He said to me, “Do you know why you won’t be able to wait for summer 2017?“ I had no idea. Maybe it’s because Wonder Woman or the new Alien movie are coming out then? He replied, ”No! And you’ll never guess the right answer! It’s because there’s going to be a new season of DuckTales!" It turns out Disney are relaunching our favorite show from when we were kids. We were overjoyed. Sam is 25, and I’m 27.
A month ago, I was dating a girl. Today I found out that she’s pregnant, but she never told me. She just disappeared. When I found out, I went over to see her at her place. She told me that she didn’t want to put too much stress on me and ruin my life… What was she thinking? I’m in seventh heaven!
#7 Anything for love.
During a lecture at university, I was seized by appendicitis, and an ambulance was called. We were racing along; I had a terrible pain in my abdomen, and I was with a doctor and my girlfriend. I was lying there, and I suddenly understood that something was missing. "Can you turn the siren on? This is my first time in an ambulance, and I always dreamed about having the siren on!" The doctor looked at me and said that the siren was broken. As I lay back in the stretcher, upset, I suddenly heard both my girlfriend and the doctor begin to make a noise like a siren. They kept it up all the way to the hospital. I’ve never felt so happy!
#8 Follow your dreams.
I had dreamed of traveling to Tokyo for many years. Then one day, I finally bought a ticket. All my friends said I was crazy to spend so much money, but now I’m sitting in the city center eating ramen, and I’m smiling from ear to ear.
Every day, I travel on the same bus. I see the same guy every day. And every day, he gives up his seat to me. Today, he decided to start a conversation with me. And this evening, we’re going on a date.
#10 Unconditional love
I saw a girl who looked about eight years old at the store today. She was talking to a dog, petting it and smiling. Her parents were standing to one side. Holding her by the hand, they were watching her, and it was clear from their faces that they were happy. I later learned that their daughter was autistic, and that was the first time they’d heard her talk using full sentences.
#11 ‘Everything will be okay.’
An old man said to me today as we were walking out of the candy store, "Don’t be sad. Everything will be OK!" Of course I knew this because I was on my way to buy a cake.
Half a year ago, I was walking through the city at night. I was crossing a bridge over a small river when I noticed a young woman standing on the railings. She intended to jump. I quietly walked up to her; we began talking, and I suggested she come have a cup of tea at my place. Sometimes, you can find what fate has prepared for you where you least expect it.
#13 True Happiness
Once, my friend told me my fortune using Tarot cards. He said that soon I would find happiness. When I went out of the house, a high-voltage power line broke nearby, a rottweiler almost bit me, and then a person riding a bike smashed into me. That was my experience of "happiness"! I sprained my ankle and went to the hospital. While I was waiting in line, a girl with a bandaged arm sat down nearby. We got talking, and she told me how she’d had bad luck all day and that when her bus stopped very suddenly she fell and broke her arm. It was so nice talking to her that I didn’t even notice when it was my turn to see the doctor. We exchanged numbers, and I left. Now that she’s the mother of my children, I understand what the happiness was that my friend predicted for me.
Heartwarming Video Shows Coma Survivor Standing Up To Kiss His Wife
His doctors said he only had 10% chance of survival. He proved them wrong!
Love, as they say, conquers all and for one vehicular accident victim, it is his love of life and the love of his spouse that kept him going despite the difficulties. Jonathan “Jonny” Grant was badly hurt during a car crash that happened just several days away from his fifth wedding anniversary. The tragic incident led to a severe brain injury which later left him in a coma.
After two months, however, he woke up from being in a coma and began to recover shortly thereafter – much to the amazement of the doctors who doubted if he would even be able to wake up or move again. In fact, they believed he only had a survival rate of 10%.
Fortunately, both Jonny and Laura, his wife, never gave up.
