Girl Invents An Alarm Clock That Slaps You Right In The Face

Rise and shine, fool!

Waking up early in the morning can be a real struggle in life. Getting up from a comfortable bed can be extremely difficult particularly if you’re fond of late night binge-watching or, let’s face it, some good old drinking and partying.

So yes, rising and shining is usually easier said than done but you got to do it anyway, especially if you don’t want to be late for work.

Well have no worries because Simone Giertz has come up with an invention that could make your bed “a little less comfortable” – an alarm clock that slaps you right in the face!

I know that sounds like a good prank idea but hey, you might want to use it yourself if you’re really having a hard time waking up on time. Besides, this could potentially save your career.

Simone describes the clock this way:

“I built an alarm clock that wakes me up in the morning by slapping me in the face with a rubber arm. I picked apart a clock, wired it to an Arduino UNO and controlled a 165 rpm brushless DC motor through a relay.”

Describing herself as a “professional maker and robotics enthusiast,” Simone has gained quite a following on her YouTube channel with thousands of subscribers from across the globe.

A lot of people are praising her not only for her clever ideas but for her humor as well. It also doesn’t hurt that the foul-mouthed inventor is undeniably gorgeous.

Too bad this alarm clock is not available on the market. Your best bet is to attempt creating one or, if you’re not feeling too inclined, you might instead want to purchase the Running Alarm Clock.

Security gadgets range from the technologically advanced (surveillance systems and motion detectors) to Old School (alarms and locks).

The lock is easily the most common security device. However, people seem to have fallen into the "false security" trap when it comes to locks.
