  • Four kittens have recently been saved by Thai navy in the Andaman Sea.
  • The sailors were there to check oil spills from a sinking ship but suddenly discovered the animals.
  • Thatsapon Saii, 23, swam against strong currents to save the kitties without delay.

This is the heartwarming moment when four small cats were saved by Thai navy from a burning boat. This recently happened in the Andaman Sea when the sailors were alerted to inspect a sinking ship. All the crew have already evacuated and while the navy went there to check for oil spills, they noticed something else.

According to the team, they spotted the poor animals stuck in a wooden beam. “I used my camera to zoom in to the boat,” said the navy’s air and coastal defense First-Class Petty Officer Wichit Pukdeelon, ”and I saw one or two cats popping their heads out.” So they wasted no time and sprang into action right away.

The cats were immediately rescued by 23-year-old Thatsapon Saii who swam against the strong currents, carrying them on his back. .

Saii later shared:

“I immediately took off my shirt and put on a life jacket so I could jump into the sea. The flames were at the back of the boat, but it was starting to sink, so I knew I had to be quick.”

Fortunately, none of the cats suffered any serious injuries. According to reports, the ginger kittens are in good health and are currently staying at the command post of their rescuers.

The story later went viral online and naturally, netizens couldn’t help but praise the navy for their heroism.

“Can not love this more,” wrote a Facebook user. “Thank you for showing your compassion and humanity.” Another commented, “It is good to see men with kindness in their heart and spirit. God Bless all of you . I’m sure the cats are thankful also.”
