  • He’s a straight, married man but Mark Bryan, 61, prefers wearing skirts and high heels to office everyday.
  • His fashion sense has since caught a lot of attention online.
  • According to him, he believes clothing “have no gender.”

He is a husband and a father. Yet 61-year-old American man Mark Bryan has an unusual fashion sense – he can often be seen wearing skirts and high heels. And he does it to make a statement.

Now living in Germany while working as a robotic engineer, Mark is a firm believer that everyone should have freedom to choose whatever they want to wear, regardless of their gender.

Clothes, according to Mark, “have no gender.”

In a BoredPanda feature, Mark shared:

“I dress like this because I can. Just to be different. I have always admired the women that wore tight skirts and heels. Not sexually, but the power they presented. I don’t dress to be sexual, but to dress like any professional woman would.

“To me, clothes have no gender. I prefer skirts to dresses. Dresses don’t allow me to mix the genders. I prefer a ‘masculine’ look above the waist and a non-gendered look below the waist. It’s all about clothes having no gender.”

People are definitely loving Mark’s posts on Instagram.

Mark’s pictures have since gone viral online and as of this writing, he already has over 161,000 followers on the said photo-sharing site.

He is just a straight guy who wants to break stereotypes.

“I do this for non-sexual reasons,” he explained. “Men can wear this style without being labelled as gay or queer. I don’t act like a sissy, which is one of the most frequent comments I get from men. They just assume I’m gay and a sissy until they start talking to me.”

In his Instagram bio, he describes himself this way:

“I am just a straight, happily married guy that loves Porsche’s , beautiful women, and incorporating high heels and skirts into my daily wardrobe.”

According to Mark, both his wife and daughter are supportive of his taste in fashion. He just hopes the general public would likewise be as open-minded someday.

“I am old enough to remember that in school, the girls could not wear pants. Pants have now become a non-gendered article of clothing. So why can’t skirts and heels be non-gendered?” he asked.
