There is little doubt that Rush Hour is still one of the best action comedies ever made. But is it possible that Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker will be reuniting for yet another sequel? A new post may have confirmed that Rush Hour 4 is finally in the works.

Chris Tucker recently celebrated Jackie Chan’s birthday (April 8) with an awesome post on his official Instagram account. It didn’t take long before the comedian decided to share another image that had fans talking. The photo, which appears to be a recent snapshot, features Tucker and Chan holding up the number four. Not surprisingly, people believe it could be a tease for Rush Hour 4.

Take a look at Chris Tucker’s photo.

This is certainly an exciting development for fans who are hoping to see more of Chan’s Yan Naing Lee and Tucker’s James Carter. After all, Chan had previously confirmed that he is still planning to work on Rush Hour 4 in the future.

In 2012, Chan revealed in an interview that he wants to work on a fourth Rush Hour movie before retiring. Back then, he stated that he would do it in “five to 10 years.”

“I don’t want it to happen at this moment. Probably another five or 10 years. Then will be ‘Rush Hour 4’ – boom, we’re coming back! And at that time I might retire,” Chan said.

Lee and Carter had people rolling with laughter in ‘Rush Hour’ (1998).

It might finally be time for Chan and Tucker to reunite for more Lee and Carter shenanigans. Although an official announcement has not yet been made, it’s only a matter of time before Lee and Carter return.

The first Rush Hour movie was released back in 1998. It led to Rush Hour 2 in 2001 and Rush Hour 3 in 2007. All three films were directed by Brett Ratner, who is also expected to helm Rush Hour 4.
