Well one man in Lagos, Nigeria recently made headlines after literally trying to catch a free flight by climbing up an aircraft’s wing as it was gearing up to takeoff. He also tried entering in the cabin.

The bizarre incident happened at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport and one of the passengers caught it on film. The short footage quickly went viral on social media after it was shared online.

According to reports, the aircraft was preparing to takeoff upon clearance from air traffic controllers when the unnamed man suddenly appeared out of nowhere and pulled the ridiculous stunt.

Naturally, the passengers were shocked by the act and chaos ensued as everyone got up from their seats to look outside the windows.

After being informed about the problem, the pilots turned the engine off and the security crew immediately apprehended the man, whose identity remains unknown at the moment.

Azman Air, the airline company, later confirmed the incident and issued a statement about it, assuring the public that they are taking the issue very seriously and investigations are underway.

“The aircraft and luggage were thoroughly scrutinized,” Azman also pointed out. “All passengers were re-boarded and the flight operated as scheduled.”

Meanwhile, security unit heads on duty during the incident have been suspended as a result.
