There’s always a good feeling that comes with driving a fresh-smelling vehicle. That’s why it’s highly important to keep your car clean and to buy new air fresheners often.

Or actually, you probably wouldn’t have to do the latter anymore.

Here’s a useful DIY trick that will allow you to make your car – or even home – smell better without having to purchase any air fresheners in the store.

What you will need to do is to get one of your wooden clothespins and a bottle of an essential oil.

First, take the clothespin and rub a few drops of the essential oil (any scent will do) on it. After that, allow the oil soak into the wood for a while.

Once you’re done with that, you can then clip the clothespins onto a vent of your choice such as a heat vent or your car vent.

This would give your car and home an all-natural scent that you will surely love.

Uploaded on YouTube by The Heathered Nest, the 20-second footage has gained quite a lot of attention after it has been featured in several websites.

In response to a commenter though, The Heathered Nest confirmed that, yes, this trick will only work on a supply vent and not on an exhaust fan “since the airflow would be from the room to the vents, and not the other way around.” So take not of that in case you’re giving this a try.
