  • Twin TikTokers Alan and Alex Stokes ended up getting arrested after pulling two bank robbery pranks in one day.
  • The brothers are now facing charges, with the possibility of being imprisoned for 4 years.

Twin brothers Alan and Alex Stokes have millions of online followers because of their TikTok and YouTube videos. Much to the shock of their fans, the two social media celebrities recently made headlines for the wrong reasons: they ended up being charged for doing not just one, but two bank robbery pranks in October 2019.

The duo are now facing up to 4 years of prison time if they get convicted with felony and misdemeanor. According to reports, the Stokes pulled two fake robbery stunts where one led to their Uber driver being held at gunpoint by the cops.

The Stokes Twins have 25 million Tiktok followers and 4.8 million YouTube subscribers.

In their first prank, the two, dressed in black while wearing masks, pretended as if they had just robbed a bank and then rode an Uber but the driver firmly declined them. A passerby noticed them and immediately alerted the police.

Cops arrived at the scene and pointed their guns at the driver. Fortunately, they later realized rewlized he wasn’t working with the two.

A warning was issued for the brothers but several hours later, they were doing a similar prank again at the Irvine campus of the University of California.

Definitely a prank gone wrong!

Todd Spitzer, district attorney of Orange County, pointed out:

“These are crimes that could have resulted in someone getting seriously injured or even killed.

“Law enforcement officers are sworn to protect the public and when someone calls 911 to report an active bank robbery, they are going to respond to protect lives.”

The twin’s pranks, added Spitzer, placed the public and the authorities in unnecessary harm, all because of” some kind of twisted attempt to gain more popularity on the internet.”
