We all know that smoking can be lethal – not only for smokers but for those around them. Unfortunately, convincing people to quit the habit can be really difficult.

In a report shared by the World Health Organization (WHO) on their website, we learn that tobacco actually “kills up to half of its users.” They also pointed out that about 6 million people die each year because of smoking.
“More than 5 million of those deaths are the result of direct tobacco use,” the organization added “while more than 600 000 are the result of non-smokers being exposed to second-hand smoke.”
Yes, the statistics are that staggering!
Fortunately, WHO isn’t alone in helping spread the warning against smoking. As you will see in the ads below, various groups are doing their part to convince smokers to drop the stick.

Heartbreaking Video Reveals The Harsh Reality Behind Elephant Tourism
You will never ride an elephant again after watching this video.
We all love elephants. As kids, we all looked forward to seeing elephants perform on the circus. There’s always something exciting about watching these huge animals do their tricks. Growing up as adults, riding one is probably on your list when you go on vacation somewhere in Southeast Asia.
Unknown to most of us, however, is the tragic reality behind the elephant tourism industry.
Elephants are tor tured before they become “useful” for elephant tourism.
Why Some People Have a Tiny Extra Hole in Their Ear
Some people are born with a tiny hole in their ear. Its called a preauricular sinus!
An extra tiny hole in a person’s ear is a congenital imperfection that’s hardly noticeable. It also isn’t harmful. This imperfection is called preauricular sinus. It is also referred to as preauricular pit, preauricular cyst, or preauricular fissure.
An evolutionary biologist named Neil Shubin has speculated that the preauricular sinus could be an “evolutionary remnant of fish gills.” However, this theory hasn’t been scientifically validated.
According to data from the US National Library of Medicine, the congenital disorder was first reported in 1864. The hole manifests during the early stages of fetal development. It’s also hereditary.
Giant Crocodile Gets Rescued After Getting Stuck in a Canal While Looking for Food
OMG! That’s probably one of the biggest crocodiles ever!
I’ll admit it right here – few creatures scare me more than a crocodile.
I mean I’ve seen these creatures locked in zoos but each time I do, I couldn’t help but imagine how terrible it would be if a person accidentally fell into the cage. Those big sharp teeth are definitely the stuff of nightmares! I should probably blame the movies for my paranoia.
Recently, however, a real life giant crocodile was found by wildlife department authorities in Sri Lanka. The massive reptile was stuck in a canal while it was searching for something to eat. It was found in the city of Matara in a canal leading to the river of Nilawala. Apparently, it got stuck in a canal while searching for food after water levels rose because of heavy rain.
