  • Already 93 years of age, Olive Veronesi still has the habit of drinking a can of beer every night.
  • Now on self-quarantine, she’s down to her last 12 cans when she held a sign that said “I need more beer!”
  • A relative took her picture and it went viral online, prompting brewing company Molson Coors to gift her 10 cases.

The coronavirus pandemic has forced many countries to go into lockdown and that comes with the difficulty of buying and stocking life’s necessities. Shoppers everywhere have been affected by the limited availability of even the most basic of items – no thanks to heartless hoarders – and so people have to use their resources wisely.

One cool old woman from Pittsburgh recently gained viral attention after showing that, despite the crisis, she still has her priorities straight. She wants some freakin’ beer!

Meet 93-year-old Olive Veronesi who held up a signboard on her window with a short but clear message: “I need more beer!”

According to reports, Olive drinks one beer each night and she only had 12 cans left when she put her sign up and was photographed by a relative. Her picture later went viral on social media and much to her surprise, her plea reached Molson Coors and they immediately took action.

On Easter Sunday, the company responded:

“Olive asked and beer is on its way!”

The following day, 10 cases of beer were delivered right at her doorstep by Mark Linder and his associate, who said they’re just glad that Olive can “continue her healthy regimen of a Coors Light a day.”

“You know what, beer has vitamins in it,” said Olive. “It’s good for you, as long as you don’t overdo it.”

Naturally, netizens couldn’t help but envy Olive for the gift she got for holding a simple sign. Meanwhile, others couldn’t help but adore her for still being an avid beer drinker despite her old age.
