The unexpected lockdown being implemented in many countries have caused many inconviences to people around the world. Fortunately, we’ve all been getting by with the help of others.

Case in point, a Mexican guy named Antonio Muñoz shared how he used his creativity – and his pet dog – to get around the restrictions and still get hold of some of life’s most basic necessities.

In a Facebook post, Antonio shared how his pet chichuhua named Chokis has been most helpful to him during the required COVID-19 quarantine.

On the third day of his mandatory self isolation in Mexico, Muñoz started craving for a bag of Cheetos. Though the shop is just across from his home, the mandatory lockdown, fear of contagion, and enforced social distancing made him choose to stay home. Walking across the street to buy himself a bag of Cheetos may seem non-essential in light of the pandemic.

Instead of waving off the cravings, figured he could just send his dog, Chokis, on a little errand.

Of course, it should be noted that chihuahuas are not exactly the easiest dogs to train because while they are smart, they are often stubborn and they easily bore. They do not respond well to scolding or punishment, but they do love a good treat.

It would seem that Muñoz knew about this well. So, he attached a note on Chokis’ collar and inserted a $20-bill to pay for the bag of Cheetos he so desired before he sent her out.

Muñoz wrote the note in his language that translates to :

“Hello Mr. Shopkeeper. Please sell my dog some Cheetos, the orange kind, not the red ones, they’re too hot. She has $20 attached to her collar. WARNING: She will bite if not treated right. Your front neighbor.”

Here’s the original note:

Minutes later, it seemed Chokis did the job. Muñoz even caught some snaps of her with the bag of Cheetos between her teeth.

Chokis returns successful.

Naturally, netizens couldn’t help but adore the wonderful animal. Some also commended Antonio for taking the time to remind the storekeeper to treat his pet right.
