When people first laid eyes on Kylie Jenner in the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” reality series, she was simply known as the youngest member of the Kardashian/Jenner clan. Now, the 21-year-old reality television star, model, entrepreneur, socialite, and social media personality has expanded her brand and is quickly becoming the queen of her famous family.

As if all of her success outside “KUWTK” is not enough, Kylie has added another one under her belt. The mother-of-one has been named the youngest billionaire in history, and the youngest self-made billionaire ever by Forbes.

Kylie Jenner’s net worth took the title from Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg, who became a billionaire in 2008 at age 23, and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates held it in 1987 at age 31.

The makeup mogul founded and owns Kylie Cosmetics, which started in 2015. Kylie’s beauty business has a cult-like following with products quickly selling out just minutes after release, and it generated an estimated $360 million in sales last year.

Kylie said:

“I didn’t expect anything. I did not foresee the future. But [the recognition] feels really good. That’s a nice pat on the back.”

Kylie Jenner’s net worth is reportedly $1 billion.

Known as the “social media princess,” Kylie announces and launches her new products on Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. She has over 120 million followers on Instagram alone.

She said:

“It’s the power of social media. I had such a strong reach before I was able to start anything.”

The young star raised some eyebrows back in July when she featured in Forbes and was categorized by the magazine as a “self-made millionaire.” Kylie Jenner’s net worth can be attributed to the success of her brand, Kylie Cosmetics, although the idea of her being self-made is still seen as debatable by many.

Forbes’ estimate of Kylie Jenner’s net worth comes in its annual ranking of the world’s billionaires. The world’s richest person remains the Amazon founder and chief executive Jeff Bezos with a $131 billion fortune, up $19 billion in 2018.
