#12. Star Wars: Episode VIII (December 15, 2017)

With Rian Johnson handling the directorial duties for this film, we have a feeling it’s going to be a good one. Sure, it would be a challenge to top J. J. Abrams’ The Force Awakens and Gareth Edwards’ Rogue One but in Johnson we trust. Her past works have been pretty stellar and we think her dark tone will give this film a different flavor. We’re excited to see a lightsaber rematch between Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).

This Is What Happens When Adele Encounters Sound Failure

Adele handles sound failure during a concert like the pro she is. How’s that Mariah?

Sara Martinez

During one of her concert in Birhimgham last year, Adele went through her performance of "all I Ask" even after all the speakers went off. Proving that she's indeed a true professional, she kept singing the song until the sound came back on at just the right moment.

The sound failure happened around 2 minutes into her song, the sound for her microphone and piano was cut off which forced the 27-year-old to sing a capella in front of the sold out crowd. The singer went on without missing a beat as the audience sang along to finish the song.

After the performance, Adele commented about lip syncing allegations:

You think you saw the worst of 2016? Apparently, not! Mariah Carey just might have given us the worst performance of last year with a series of “technical malfunction” during her appearance at ABC’s “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2017.” The diva seemed prepared to lip sync her way out of her performance. However, most of the vocals for her song did not play.

Mariah tried to play it cool at first by rounding up the crowd and encouraging them to sing instead. She told the audience that they were unable to do some sound check prior to the show, thus the glitches. She even did some of her dance routines but ended giving up and just furiously walked off the stage.
