A Vietnamese delivery driver has recently captured the hearts of netizens after pulling off a heroic act – he saved a 2-year-old child falling from a 12th-floor balcony.

According to reports, 31-year-old Nguyen Ngoc Manh was sitting in his truck when he noticed some people screaming outside. When he checked out what it was about, he was shocked to see the toddler dangling 164-feet in the air.

Manh wasted no time and acted quickly to help, climbing a shaky metal roof.

He later shared in an interview:

“I scaled the wall and saw that she could fall onto the metallic roof of the house used to store electric generators for the complex, so I tried to climb on top of it. I made it, but couldn’t stand firmly, as the roof was crooked.”

Manh literally sprang into action and caught the toddler as she fell from the balcony.

A father himself, Manh said:

“She looked so much like my child at home. I was so confused, only able to tell her, ‘Please, please, I’m here now.”

The young girl was immediately brought to a nearby medical facility for treatment of a dislocated hip. She had no other injuries. Manh, on the other hand, sprained his arm.

“I didn’t think about it much back then, but now I’m happy for doing something meaningful. After saving the girl, I left without leaving a phone number, though the girl’s family managed to contact me anyway to inform me of the girl’s health status,” he also said.
