Woman Disappointed After Boyfriend Proposed With His Grandmother’s Ring

Finally getting that engagement ring you’ve waited so long for is supposed to be a very happy moment for any man or woman. But not so much in this case.

Before we dig deeper on the story, it is, of course, worth-noting that everyone has the right to have a personal preference. But when it comes to engagement rings, the meaning behind it should be the most important thing. So when one woman took to social media to share that she is not happy with her engagement ring, the internet tells her that they’re not pleased with her behavior too.

Over at Reddit, a female user who goes by the name Mortadelllla took t upon herself to share a Facebook post about a woman’s new engagement ring. In the said post, the woman, whose identity remained undisclosed, expressed her dismay because her future groom gave her his grandmother’s ring.

The woman wrote:

“My boyfriend finally asked me to marry him and this is really what he gives me…he pulled it out of his pocket and it took just about everything in me to not laugh and question whether this was real life or not LMAO.”

She then added that the only reason why she was able to “tolerate” the ring is the fact that pearl is her birthstone. The woman also shared that she has slowly come in terms with her engagement ring.

She probably thought that she would get people on her side after sharing her post, but it totally backfired.

For example, some commenters said that they hope her boyfriend took the ring back and broke off with her. Another bashed her, agreeing that while the ring does look terrible, she doesn’t have to tell everyone about it on Facebook. “I hope (the boyfriend) realizes she can be doing this with all their problems,” the netizen also added.
