Teenager Throws Egg At Australian Senator Blaming Muslims For Christchurch Attacks

Police are investigating Egg Boy as well as Senator Fraser Anning, who had hit the teenager.

A 17-year-old boy has gone viral after he smacked an egg on an Australian senator who is blaming Muslims for the recent mosque attacks in New Zealand. The young protester has since been touted a hero for standing up against the politician, who is known for making offensive comments.

The teenager, who is only known as Egg Boy, attended a press conference in Melbourne, Australia where Senator Fraser Anning was discussing the mosque shooting attacks in Christchurch, New Zealand. Anning, a far-right politician, is known for making racist remarks and Islamophobia. The senator was once again putting the blame on the Islamic community for the attacks when the teen struck him in the head with an egg.

Christchurch Terror: A 17-year-old boy was arrested after allegedly slamming an egg on Fraser Anning's head at a speaking event at Moorabbin today. The teenager has since been released pending further inquiries. The teenager can be seen listening to Anning’s statement before taking out an egg and smashing it against the senator’s head. Anning was initially shocked but immediately struck the boy as the reporters tried to intervene.

Egg Boy was reportedly beaten by Anning’s supporters and kept in a choke hold until the police arrived. The incident is being investigated by the police, who will look into the teen’s actions. In addition to that, they are looking into Anning’s actions as well.

The teenager has since been taken away from the incident but not before being called a hero on the internet for standing up against Anning’s racist remarks.

The new hero has since been identified as Will Connolly. The teen has since spoken up about the incident and has a piece of advice for young protesters who are planning to do the same thing: “Don’t egg politicians.”


“You get tackled by thirty bogans at the same time,” Egg Boy said. “I learned the hard way. F–k.”

Two mosques in Christchurch were attacked by a lone gunman where 50 people were reportedly shot down on Friday, March 15. Anning has since blamed Muslims for immigrating to New Zealand in the first place.
