12-Year-Old Kid With Incurable Disease Covers Eminem’s “Not Afraid”

This boy is an inspiration. Also, he’s incredibly talented!

Mark Andrew

We all fight different battles in life.

12-year-old Sparsh Shah of Iselin, New Jersey has a unique struggle. He was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, an incurable disease that affects the bones. Because of this disorder, the boy has extremely brittle bones and so he can’t even walk or run like normal kids. Having this condition means even a strong hand shake can possibly break his bones.

Despite his difficult physical challenges, however, what’s amazing about Sparsh is his strong spirit.

Also, he is incredibly talented. He has a beautiful voice and is likewise a gifted songwriter. He writes not only the words but even the music of his original songs.

Recently, Sparsh caught some love and attention on social media after he posted a video of his own take on “Not Afraid,” an Eminem track. And boy, the kid can actually rap!

On the video description, Sparsh said:

“I feel like “Not Afraid” has been my power song ever since I heard it for the first time and Eminem became my idol in the rap genre. He has inspired me so much with his powerful songs and lyrics (minus curses), and I aspire that one day, I could get to meet him and sing (or rap!) with him. It’s always been my dream to inspire BILLIONS of people one day with my musical talent, and I wish that dream comes true.”

The video was posted on YouTube last January 2, 2016 and has so far been viewed 410,125 views. Frankly, it deserves much, much more than that.

Sparsh, you are an inspiration to many. Eminem, go pay this boy a visit and make him happy!

Kat Lozada

You will not be able to deny the fact that at some point in your life, you watched classic romantic and romcoms with your significant partner or if you're single, your cat. There's really something about these movies that turn you to mush as you watch the guy protagonist profess his undying love for his ladylove in the most badass way possible.
Then again, you suddenly remember that it's just the movies and there's probably a reason why they're just magical on screen but never in real life. We give you the ten romantic fails that are only dreamy on the big screen but actually suck when they happen in the real world.

10. Kissing in the rain

10 Kissing in the rain

If you've watched The Notebook (and you probably have a million times), the kiss in the rain shared by the films' protagonists looked absolutely cheesy and passionate. In real life however, being in the rain means being wet, cold and really unpleasant. Besides, you wouldn't want to catch a cold the morning after, do you?
