It’s hard not to love Netflix, especially with the seemingly endless options of movies and TV series that one can easily access. It’s also easy to be overwhelmed by just how many shows the streaming service can offer its subscribers. However, not a lot of people realize that there are actually hidden Netflix features that are waiting to be discovered.

You can either dwell on sorting through show titles for hours or make your search easier and more refined. Netflix actually has secret codes that subscribers can use to select the specific titles they want to see. One would usually stumble upon the more common genres like romance, thriller or comedy, but there is a way to search for something even more specific.

For instance, you may feel the need to watch an indie action-adventure film but all you see on the main page are the usual popular titles.

Subscribers can have all access to the categories by entering four to five-digit codes. It’s just a matter of typing the code to the end of the URL www.netflix.com/browse/genre/***

So if you’re in for a rather unusual movie marathon composed of movies that your date may not have heard of ever, just enter the codes for a surprise.
