These Awesome Airless Tires by Michelin Will Never Go Flat
No matter how cautious a driver you may be, you will surely experience having a flat tire sooner or later – and it can surely be a hassle, especially if you’ve never changed a flat tire before.
Actually, even if you know how to change tires, the process isn’t easy and can be potentially time-consuming. Your best bet, of course, is to get roadside assistance or drive to a service center for repair.
Looking at this tire technology by Michelin, we can’t help but wish this becomes available for cars soon.
The Michelin X Tweel Turf is an airless radial tire “completely eliminates” flat tires.
Called the Michelin X Tweel Turf, this badass airless radial tire “completely eliminates” flat tires. The catch here, however, is that they are “available exclusively” on John Deere ZTrak 900 B, M, R Series mowers as of the moment.
Watch the Michelin X Tweel Turf in action here:
As the video tells us, this airless tire requires no maintenance so its really awesome. According to Michelin’s official website:
“Michelin X Tweel Turf is one single unit, replacing the current tire/wheel/valve assembly. Once they are bolted on, there is no air pressure to maintain, and the common problem of unseated beads is completely eliminated.”
As of the moment, these awesome tires are “available exclusively” for Jon Deere ZTrak mowers.
The website also mentions that this tire technology “has a consistent hub height which ensures the mower deck produces an even cut, while the full-width poly-resin spokes provide excellent lateral stability for outstanding side hill performance.”
Needless to say, I’m really, really impressed. I’m saying though that it would be a shame if this kind of tech were only available for mowers.
Go check out the Michelin website if you want more information about the X Tweel Turf.
