46% Of Americans Want Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson To Run As President

  • A new poll revealed that at least 46% of Americans would support Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson if he ever ran as US President.
  • Johnson has repeatedly admitted he’s “seriously considering” the potential candidacy.
  • In addition to Johnson, poll participants said they would also support Will Smith, Oprah Winfrey, and Angelina Jolie.

Around 46% of Americans are actually willing to support Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson if he ever runs as president of the country, according to an April 6 poll published by Piplsay.

This, of course, isn’t exactly the first time that the professional wrestler-turned-Hollywood actor’s potential candidacy has been brought to the spotlight. In past interviews, the 48-year-old celebrity has hinted that he would seriously consider running “if that’s what the people wanted.”

Could the People’s Champ be the next US President?

In a 2017 guesting on Ellen De Generes’ show, The Rock admitted that he is “seriously considering it, yes.”

He also confirmed last February:

“I would consider a presidential run in the future if that’s what the people wanted. Truly I mean that, and I’m not flippant in any way with my answer. That would be up to the people.

“[…] So I would wait, and I would listen. I would have my finger on the pulse, my ear to the ground.”

According to reports, the poll gathered its data online from over 30,000 adult participants in the United States from April 2 to April 4. They discovered that at least 63% of Americans think that Hollywood starts could effectively serve in political positions as long as they have “the right attitude and support staff.”

Aside from Johnson, other celebrities mentioned in the poll as top presidential bets include Will Smith, Oprah Winfrey, and Angelina Jolie.

Back in 2018, Johnson said that he considered running for president in 2020 but eventually decided to opt out after realizing “it’s a position that requires years of hard work and experience to learn the skills.”

Meanwhile, we learn in a recent Instagram post that Johnson has officially started filming his new movie Black Adam.
