Inspiring Navy Officer Lost Four Limbs But Still Shows Insurmountable Optimism
There is a lot to be thankful for – simple things that make us alive like having complete body parts is something that is worthy of praise and thanksgiving. But when we lose at life’s challenges, we can’t help but falter and sulk in one corner of the world to forget the pain.
It is so hard to be optimistic all the time, especially if we know that the process to recovery is a long and painstaking one.
This is the reason why we have so much respect for Taylor Morris.
He grew up loving extreme sports and adventures.
He was selected to be a part of the Explosive Ordinance Disposal team by the U.S. Navy.
Unfortunately, in 2012, Morris accidentally stepped on an IED that exploded under his body.
Despite sustaining significant injury…
He even asked the rescuers to leave him…
…and so as not to put the medics’ life at risk.
The quad amputee had all the reason to be devastated but surprisingly, he didn’t.
This has earned Morris such high respect from his peers.
Especially when he is training with prosthetic limbs.
Danielle, his longtime girlfriend, never left him.
She stayed by his side.
She gave him unconditional love.
She even carries him on her back.
