  • Actor Liam Neeson announced he’s planning to retire from making action films.
  • Citing his old age, he confessed he will miss “beating guys” younger than him.
  • He said he’s still open about playing roles in Wonder Woman 3 and the Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi series.

Hollywood actor Liam Neeson has recently announced that he will soon be retiring from making action movies. According to the Taken star, he belives he’s getting too old for the genre.

In a media interview, Neeson said “Oh, yeah. I think so. I’m 68 and a half. 69 this [June]. There’s a couple more I’m going to do this year – hopefully, COVID allowing us – there’s a couple in the pipeline and, then I think that will probably be it. Well, unless I’m on a [walker] or something.”

Neeson, 68, confessed he will miss “beating up guys half (his) age.”

He shared:

“I’ve just finished [Blacklight] in Australia and I had a fight scene with a kid – lovely, sweet actor called Taylor – and halfway through the fight I looked up, I was breathless and it didn’t cost him a cent, and I said, “Taylor, what age are you?” He said, “25.” I said, “That’s the age of my eldest son [Micheál Richardson]!”‘

The multi-awarded actor also assured fans that he’ll still continue making movies.

Case in point, he’s open about the idea of being in Wonder Woman 3 where he’s rumored to play Zeus, the father of Diana Prince.

“I guess so, sure. I mean, I’m very flattered!” he pointed out. “I wasn’t aware that the ancient Greek gods appeared in Wonder Woman. I have to say, much to my chagrin, I haven’t seen kind of the Wonder Woman movies.”

As for those who want him to reprise his role as Qui-Gon Jinn in the upcoming Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi, Neeson has this to say: “Sure, I’d be up for that.”
